Don't Confuse me with the Fact

Don't Confuse me with the Fact

There is a dangerous thinking among some people.
And that is: they had pre-conceived ideas. Once they made up their mind about what they want to believe, they will use every bits of information to support their pre-conceived stands.

For eg. in a child abuse investigation, the social worker could have already presumed that the person is guilty and would try to dig every incidents to support her view. With skillful interpretation and and skewing of statistics, one could paint an innocent person guilty.

"Don't confuse me with the fact".

They filter their mind. They only hear what they want to hear, they only hear things that support their motion.

This is most obvious in a court of law. One party paints him black, the other paints him white.
The better painter wins the game of persuasion in the jungle of deception . Win or lose, the customers suffer, the painters laughing their way to the bank. And the judge plays God.
