Is Math Relevant?

Math - Is it Relevant?

I used to wonder if math is still relevant in this age of calculator and automation.
Until the Career Planning workshop.

The lecturer started with a formula for the right job.
It goes something like: Job = Motivation + values + skill + wants + interest - constraints.

The ideas lights up inside my head.
Why not use formula to teach a subject? It is easy to remember.
There is a formula for success, a formula for failure.
There is a formula to explain science.
A system is an addition of parts...

Just about anything is life can be reduced to a formula.
